Having split from the group, Buffy goes to look for Riley. Riley was led to Adam because Adam activated a behavior modification chip in Riley’s chest that places him under Adam’s control. Adam takes Riley to a secret lab in the Initiative where he sees that Drs. Walsh and Angleman are zombies serving as lab assistants to Adam who has turned Forrest into a demon/human hybrid just like himself. Meanwhile, Buffy realizes it was Spike who pitted them against one another to distract them from focusing on Adam. They make up and plan to raid the Initiative.
