Ethan Rayne is back in town and we all know what that means – trouble. Giles feels out of the loop as he learns that Buffy is dating Riley, that she’s enamored with Prof. Walsh, and that Riley is a commando. Giles goes to see Professor Walsh and is further insulted when Walsh tells him that Buffy lacks a good father figure. Ethan Rayne turns up and he and Giles spend the night drinking for old times sake.
